Couples Therapy

When you’re stuck in the same argument, growing apart, or feeling more like roommates than partners, therapy can help you reconnect. I work with couples at every stage—dating, engaged, married, or co-parenting—who want to strengthen communication and emotional closeness.

We’ll look beneath the surface of the conflict to uncover deeper patterns, using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to rebuild trust and connection.

You might be navigating:

  • Fertility or parenting stress

  • Intimacy struggles

  • Past ruptures like infidelity or betrayal

  • Communication breakdowns or emotional disconnection

Whether you’re trying to repair or simply grow stronger together, couples therapy creates space to realign.

Family & Parent–Teen Therapy

When things get tense at home—especially between parents and teens—it can start to feel like every conversation is a standoff or a shutdown. Family therapy creates a space where both sides can be heard, understood, and supported in building a healthier dynamic.

Sometimes I meet with parents and teens together, sometimes separately. Either way, we’ll work toward better communication, more emotional safety, and clearer boundaries that work for everyone.

Common issues I help with include:

  • Constant power struggles or emotional withdrawal

  • Anxiety, school stress, or body image challenges

  • Disagreements around identity, autonomy, or expectations

  • Residual tension from transitions, loss, or trauma

Therapy doesn’t just help teens—it helps families shift from stuck to supported.

Couples Therapy After Becoming Parents

Becoming parents can be one of the most joyful and disorienting transitions in a couple’s life. Even in wanted, planned-for pregnancies, the shift in roles, identity, and emotional bandwidth can leave partners feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in resentment.

I work with new and seasoned parents navigating the invisible load of caregiving, mismatched expectations, intimacy changes, and the push-pull of parenting decisions. Therapy helps couples move from silent tension or emotional distance to clarity, communication, and connection—so you’re not just co-parenting, but actually in relationship again.

You’re not failing. You’re evolving—and that deserves support.

Couples Therapy

  • You feel like roommates instead of partners
  • Every conversation turns into conflict—or silence
  • Parenting stress is straining your relationship
  • Intimacy or affection has changed or declined
  • There’s lingering tension from infertility, birth trauma, or postpartum
  • Past ruptures like infidelity or betrayal still impact your connection
  • You want to reconnect—but don’t know how

Family / Parent–Teen Therapy

  • Power struggles or emotional shutdowns at home
  • Your teen is anxious, withdrawn, or emotionally reactive
  • You're constantly clashing over boundaries or independence
  • Big transitions (divorce, grief, identity shifts) have created tension
  • You and your teen don’t feel heard or understood by each other
  • Family stress feels constant and unresolved
  • You’re stuck—and don’t want things to keep escalating
